She believes in the freedom of physical expression and the right to movement as a basic human right. She believes that it is a way of liberating the minutes, body and soul, in a land where limitations and boundaries are set every single day, based on race, religion and gender. Along the years, Natalie has participated in many dance festivals in the Middle East, such as the Beirut International Platform of Dance (BIPOD), the Amman Contemporary Dance Festival (ACDF), and the Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival (RCDF). Working along renowned choreographers and companies such as Guilhermo bortelho “CIE AlIAS”, Switzerland; Athanasia Kanellopoulo, Greece; Ex Nihilo, France and Koffi koko, Benin, where she performed at the MAXXI museum for contemporary arts in Rome. Traces is a short dance video that reflects on the conditions our bodies and minutesds are enduring under current life events, through documenting the bodily traces of the past - ongoing world trauma and its consequences on human connection, body ges- tures and breath. Questions on how the most natural act for our own survival became a risk factor. How will the world breathe af- ter? In the new light of what we know, how will we perceive our relation- ship with our bodies in space and one another? Or have we been conditioned to conform? Notions of resilience have turned into destructive coping mecha- nisms resulting in the numbness of our feelings and our ability to rise and resist.
