Sareyyet Ramallah started to build the gymnasium in 2004 as the biggest gymnasium in Palestine. The first phase, which included basketball, volleyball and handball playgrounds as well as a change clothes room, cafeteria and offices and accommodates 1000 spectators, was completed in 2006.

In addition to using this gymnasium for training and sports matches, it is used for exhibitions, conferences festivals and rallies.
