Ollertz. It has been institu- tionally supported since 2014 and is one of the most successful dance companies in Germany. The company has its own theatre - HALLE Tanzbühne Berlin and tours worldwide as a German Dance Ambassador of the Goethe Institute and the Federal Foreign Of- fice. The cie. toula limnaios presents dance that is, critical and bold – with concern for humankind, made by and for people. The motif of the ‘doppelganger’ or look-alike is both irritating and fascinating at the same time: his appearance confounds the boundaries between oneself and others. The doppelganger ques- tions concepts of similarity and difference, problematizes the sub- ject and its identity. This piece was originally performed as a solo for two women by Lena Meierkord and Toula Limnaios synchro- nous in two parallel worlds and will now be performed by two male dancers of the same ensemble. “isson” means “same” in Greek and is dedicated to contrasts, re- ality and illusion, light and shadows, restlessness and peace.
